Mary Poppins collection (2 volumes)
P.L. Travers
Blown in by the east wind, Mary Poppins arrives at the Banks familyظآs home on Cherry-Tree Lane to care for Jane, Michael, and the twins. She appears strict and proper, yet ordinary life around her becomes impossible: she can travel up banisters, pull enormous objects from a carpetbag, and lead the children into outings where normal rules stop applying. Her discipline hides a doorway into magic and imagination.
